Arrochar is an attractive West Highland village, with a well supplied village shop, post office, petrol station, and newspaper shop.
Situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, at the gateway to the Argyll Forest Park, and at the foot of the Arochar Alps, the area is rich with spectacular views and scenery.
The Village Inn, a great family friendly pub and restaurant serving good food and a wide variety of real ales and whiskies, is just 100 metres from the front door. Other excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity include The Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, The George in Inveraray and The Inverbeg Inn on Loch Lomond.
Mansefield House is situated at the quieter end of the village of Arrochar, off the main road.
Attractive Luss on Loch Lomond 15 minutes drive away, Helensburgh, on the Clyde, 25 minutes, Loch Fyne 20 minutes, Inveraray 25 minutes, Oban 1 hour, Glasgow 45 minutes, Edinburgh 1.5 hours.
The Trossachs, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Oban and the Isles are all within touring distance.
