Fiona and Tom Butcher arrived in Scotland in 2002 amidst a flurry of media coverage from being the first couple to appear on Channel 4’s Relocation, Relocation. Their journey, from London to the peaceful, gannet-patrolled shores of Loch Long, just north of Glasgow, was watched by millions.
They have been running Mansefield House as a four star self-catering house ever since, with thousands of guests having spent fantastic holidays enjoying the house and the surrounding area over the years.
The couple live in the renovated old coach house behind Mansefield House, where guests can contact them easily if necessary, or be virtually unaware of their presence if not. Tom has set up a successful pottery and craft gallery in the grounds and they have since been joined by Daisy, Ollie and Sam, and Badger the border collie.
